Development Law 4399/2016

   The purpose of Development Law 4399/2016 is to promote the balanced development of the Greek economy, the technological upgrade of companies and the improvement of their competitiveness. The development of high value-added products and services, the increase of utward-looking entrepreneurship and the general economic development of the country.

The structure of the law contains two parts, the General and the Special:

  1. The General part contains the Basic regulations, as well as the Basic restrictions of the General Exemption Regulation that concern all the schemes
  2. The Special Part describes the schemes which are governed by the provisions of the General Part and therefore by the conditions laid down for State aid. The special section is structured in five chapters, which include 8 individual aid schemes.

  • Large Size Investments

    In general, the Development Law covers investment plans of all sectors of the economy, except those special cases included in article 7

Investment support tools include subsidies or tax breaks of up to 55% of the investment budget, depending on a set of criteria provided by  Law.
